Securing a loan can be confusing, and the questions pile up quickly! The more you know, the better equipped you will be to start the process and make better decisions when the time comes. HOW IS INCOME LOOKED AT FOR QUALIFICATION PURPOSES?

W-2, self-employment, and other income sources are considered. Loans have specific terms to determine if and what amount of income from commissions, bonuses, and overtime can be used. 

WHAT IF I HAVE DEBT?

Generally speaking, lenders look at minimum monthly obligations when calculating your debt-to-income ratio and determining how much you qualify for. Note that collections, charge-offs, and other derogatory credit can have an impact as well. 

HOW MANY YEARS OF EMPLOYMENT HISTORY DOES A LENDER CONSIDER?

DOES MY CREDIT RATING MATTER?
